I matched a girl and she said “oh, it’s you again.” And I had absolutely no idea who she was.
I’ve met a lot of people on here, so I just said “huh?” She laughed and said “you don’t remember me? You’re the guy who does that thing with his eyebrow when you’re trying not to smile. And you told me that story about the stolen lawn gnome.”
Then it clicked. A month ago, I had a random late-night session with someone where we laughed for an hour about a ridiculous story, and I never got their name. Apparently it was her. She remembered my eyebrow thing and my gnome story after an entire month.
“You can’t remember me and I remembered your lawn gnome,” she said, grinning. “That’s honestly kind of insulting and also the best compliment.”
We talked for two hours after that, and this time I made sure I’d remember her. It turned out the first night wasn’t a one-off, the same easy, comfortable energy was right there again. Some people you just click with, even in the middle of a random roulette.
It made me realize the most memorable sessions on cam2cam are the ones where you’re just yourself, and the platforms that keep you coming back are the ones where those connections actually happen twice.
